WHO warns countries in the world not to rush to revoke lockdown

Risk of Covid-19 can increase.

Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus reminded every country not to rush to revoke or loosen lockdown policies . Appeal is submitted because the risk of Covid-19 will increase and last for a long time.As is well known, several countries have implemented lockdowns for more than one month in an effort to suppress and transmit the corona virus. The lockdown policy puts restrictions on community activities in the social and economic fields.

In some countries, seeing the condition of the Covid-19 case which has increasingly declined, they are prepared to revoke the lockdown policy. In the United States, citizens who are bored with the policy even took to the streets by holding an Anti-Lockdown protest.Seeing this phenomenon, WHO has warned all parties to be careful because of the continued wave of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Triggers Viruses Are Increasingly Spreading

Tedros also warned of an increase in co-19 cases in Africa, Eastern Europe, Central America and South America. Taking steps to revoke lockdown can cause this virus to reappear.WHO is also looking for a solution to this pandemic. He assured that his party had warned of the covid-19 threat quite early.

Looking back, I think we declared an emergency at the right time and when the world had enough time to respond,” he said in a daily briefing in Geneva. At present, there are more than 2.6 million cases of Covid-19 confirmed globally and more than 181 thousand deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University in the US.

Chinese researchers: Corona virus can mutate more fiercely

A recent study in China found that the corona virus or SARS-CoV-2 which causes Covid-19 has the ability to mutate.Unfortunately, this ability has been underestimated by scientists. In fact, with this mutation, the corona virus produces strains (offspring) with different properties.

The most aggressive SARS-CoV-2 strain can produce 270 times more viral load than the weakest strain. In addition, strains of varying nature can cause different disease effects in different parts of the world.

Corona Virus Can Mutate

Professor Li Lanjuan and his colleagues from Zhejiang University discovered a mutation process that was not previously reported in a small group of Covid-19 patients. The mutation is so unique and rare that scientists never expected that to happen.

They also confirmed for the first time with laboratory evidence that certain mutations produce strains that are more deadly than others.”SARS-CoV-2 can mutate substantially so that it can change the nature of the pathogenicity (the ability of pathogens to cause disease) in offspring,” said Professor Li.

Mutations Affect Corona Virus Malignancy

Professor Li’s study provides the first hard evidence that mutations can affect how virulent the corona virus causes illness or damage to its host.Professor Li took an unusual approach to investigating the corona virus mutation. He analyzed the strains of the virus which were isolated from 11 randomly selected Covid-19 patients from Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province.

Most Deadly Strains in Europe

Professor Li then tested how efficiently the corona virus strain could infect and kill its host cell. The result, the most deadly mutation of the corona virus in patients in Zhejiang has also been found in the majority of patients throughout Europe.Whereas more ‘benign’ strains are found in patients in parts of the United States, such as in the state of Washington.
